What is the Inshura Client Referral Program?

The Inshura Client Referral Program help you to assist your clients with enrollment even if you are not appointed with an insurance carrier. When you refer your clients to us, we act as their Agent of Record, and you earn a bonus for each referral. It is a great way your clients get the best options while you benefit from referral rewards.

If you get contracted by a carrier in the future, you can earn commissions on their renewals. How Can You Participate in the Program?

Start by creating a free agency/agent account on Inshura. You can join the Referral Program during onboarding or after setting up your account. Find the “Referral Program” feature on the left side of your account portal, follow the instructions, and enroll in our Client Referral Program.

How to Do Referral Enrollments?

After signing up, visit the “Carrier Appointments” page to view the carriers available for the referral program in each state. Enroll your clients through the Quote & Enroll portal in your account. Ensure the AOR is marked as “Referral” on the “Finalize Your Plan” page before submitting the application.

What Do You Need to Get Paid?

Update your W9 form and banking information in the Payment Settings. Inshura requires audio consent for all referral enrollments. You can upload a recording for verification or have our Referral Verification team call the client for consent. Make sure the application is active under our referral AOR and in the Marketplace. Complete any pending documents or requirements from the Marketplace as needed.

When Will You Get Paid?

Once you submit a referral application, we verify it using the recording you uploaded or through our verification team. After the application becomes active in the marketplace, it typically takes 60-90 days for carriers to pay commissions to us. If your application meets all referral criteria and the carrier pays us, we will pay you the referral bonus. Check the Referral Dashboard for updates on your application status.

Why Was Your Referral Not Qualified?

Your referral submission may not be considered qualified or could be rejected for the following reasons:

The application may have undergone an AOR change in the Marketplace.

The application was canceled in the Marketplace.

There are duplicate submissions for the same applicant.

The client did not consent to the application.

The application is not listed in the carrier’s records.

How Do Carriers Enforce Special Rules?

Carriers have specific rules and policies to prevent unauthorized plan changes and agent of record (AOR) poaching without the applicant’s consent. For example, some carriers enforce AOR Lock or Switch rules. If an applicant is enrolled in a plan effective from 01/01 with Agent X, it remains locked for the entire plan year, even if another agent attempts to change it.

Why is the Application Active in the Marketplace but Referral Not Paid?

Inshura has not yet received the commission from the carrier.
The carrier may have imposed an AOR lock rule, preventing Inshura from being the agent of record in their records.

 

Does Rejecting the Referral Application Cancel It in the Marketplace?

Rejecting a referral application on Inshura can occur due to reasons such as AOR changes, client refusal of consent, or duplicate submissions. When a referral application is rejected, it becomes ineligible for payment under the referral program. However, this action does not automatically cancel the application in the marketplace. The application remains active unless further changes are made to it.
